The 530 Lounge, which officially opened on top of the Hyatt Place Hotel for the spring on Wednesday, offered a sneak peak on Monday and Tuesday to invited guests. As my initial article was written before the outside was completely finished, I wanted to share a few photographs of what awaits you when you visit the beautiful space.
While it is a cocktail lounge, they’ve given serious thought to the food menu, as well. While I didn’t sample the items, I heard from several who did and they raved about both cocktails and food. Joshua Tallent, Beverage Director described the menu as “globally inspired small plates featuring items like signature Sushi hand rolls, Ora King Salmon, Ahi Tuna, and Wagyu Beef, along with veggie options.” He mentioned Black Hawk Farms wagyu beef sliders (which I heard from others is great) with Blackberry Farm pimento cheese and smoked onion jam.
The drinks and food looked great and guests ordered using a QR code on their tables. You’ll find a complete food and cocktail menu here. In addition to signature cocktails, you’ll find dozens of wine choices, select craft beers and dozens of choices in whiskeys. In addition to some of the items Joshua mentioned, you’ll find a veggie plate, avocado hummus, a charcuterie board featuring Blackberry Farm cheese and Hen Hoc meats.
In addition to a great sound system, the lounge will sometimes offer live music in a wonderful atmosphere high above the city.
If you are ready to enjoy an outdoor space, it is ready for you. If you are still waiting a bit longer, you’ve got a real treat waiting when the time is right.
