Tim O’Brien was absolutely excellent. Everything that wasn’t good about last year was in top form this year. He hardly missed a lyric. He was engaged and friendly with the crowd throughout the night. Playing what seemed like a very extended set, he stuck to the theme of Dylan songs, unlike last year, throughout the night, with one small deviation – a tip of the hat to Doc Watson who recently passed, which was certainly warranted.
The show ended with the entire cast of performers singing “Blowin’ in the Wind” in a moving ending to an excellent night. If you missed it, you really should plan on making it next year. In the meantime, I’ll see you at the Paul McCartney . . . oh wait, I guess not!
