If you want to be certain your event is included on this calendar, I’ll need your event two weeks in advance. The absolute best way to make sure I include your event is to make a FB event and invite me – two weeks in advance. My FB “events” are the one place I’ll go to every time – if you invite me before I post.

If you see an event I’ve missed and you’d like to plug, please comment below. I am no longer able to add events to the list about which I was not informed in advance – it’s just gotten too big, and that’s a good thing. Staying true to the scope of the blog, I’ll only list downtown or near-downtown events. Any number of venues outside of downtown have some great events, but I have to draw a line somewhere. If you want to add those in a comment, that’s fine. Please “Friend” me (Alan Sims) on Facebook and invite me to your events. Look over to the right of this post and not only “friend” me, but “like” Inside of Knoxville. Subscribe (also to the right) to make sure you catch all the posts.

  1. Once again the Scruffy calendar is somewhat screwed up.

    Almost certain that Andrew Leahey won’t be at the Pub. His tour sched shows Mar16 at the Pub, as does the Scruffy calendar. Looks like Scruffy accidentally listed him for Feb16 too.

    2. I also don’t see Daniel Fluitt and Ross Cooper on the schedule at all. Where do you see that? I’ve got Dallas Baker, Daniel Miller and Piano that night for Pres. Pub/Scr. City Hall, though the time D. Miller listed on his event (which I linked) doesn’t match the time they gave. Not sure what to make of it all.

  2. You mean Andrew Leahey is still listed? Yeah, I know, but he played there just a few weeks ago, his tour sched says Mar16, and Scruffy shows him for Mar16 too. I highly suspect the Feb16 listing is wrong.

  3. For those of you who missed it, the Devil himself and his minions (in the band configuration called “Red”) played Sat. night at the big Winterfest at Thompson-Boling Arena. This was in the guise of a big Christian music lovefest, but I suspect it was really the Devil in Disguise. I mean, we were almost trampled by teenybops much like at the infamous Who concert in Cincinnati in ’79. And this band, Red, we’re talkin’ indescribably awful noise with shooting flames, demonic howls, hooded bass player, the works…and NO FIDDLES! Damn, the Devil came all the way up from Georgia in this weather and forgot his freakin’ FIDDLE! But we got out of there in one piece…the Lord works in mysterious ways!
