Add Kidstuff to your calendar for tomorrow and Boomsday is, of course, Sunday. Throw in the Vol’s home opener and you might have the makings for a pretty busy weekend in the city. I’ll be MIA for the first part of the weekend, but will join you on the backside in time for the fireworks.

Be safe and remember why we have Labor Day: to honor those among us who labor. Remember their hard work when the topic turns to minimum wage. Remember them when someone trashes their unions. Remember them the next time you hear about a multi-million dollar bonus being paid to the CEO while the laborer’s jobs get sent to another country. Remember the working man and woman.
