As we all welcome Tupelo Honey to the community, it’s becoming obvious they don’t just operate a restaurant and call it a day. One of the reasons the business appears to be such an asset to a community is that they involve their customers and engage the neighborhood. After seeing my blog about my first meal there, they asked if I would tell you about a current example of just such engagement.
So, here I am on Saturday, again!
The Tupelo Honey Recipe Contest runs from October 1st through November 16th. Fans (friend them on their Facebook Page) are asked to submit their personal recipe suggestions for three categories: Sides, Desserts and Leftovers. A drawing will be held each week during the contest for a signed copy of their current cookbook, Tupelo Honey Cafe: Spirited Recipes From Asheville’s New South Kitchen. The three ultimate winners will each receive a $200 gift card to be used at any Tupelo Honey restaurant or in the online store.
You can find complete contest rules and information here. Surely a member of the Urban Nation can come up with a winning recipe, don’t you think? Good luck everybody.
