I’ve found watching the stadium construction to be fascinating at every step. To see the previous buildings disappear and the new construction emerge on the massive site has been more than a little mind-boggling. The speed of the construction in recent months has been almost shocking.
The idea that baseball could be played in the new stadium in the spring of 2025 seemed extremely ambitious a few months ago, but now seems very easy to imagine. The terraced seating is now easily discernable and the basic form of the entire stadium is in place.
The biggest change since the last set of photos I posted is that the Beauford Delaney Building on the western side of the stadium went from a foundation to a three story structure (with more to come), now visible from James White Parkway.
I’ve included a video from the city that is amazing, but is already a month old, so even more has been accomplished. Check out the video, but better yet, take a walk to the stadium construction site if you get a chance. It’s best seen in person.
