June 4 was a monumental day for Fiori Bar and Lounge, a testament to the unwavering dedication of its owners, Jesse and Corey Vose. After a patient wait, they finally unveiled their creation to the public. I first introduced you to this sophisticated establishment back in April, and now, it’s a reality. Executive Chef Trey Akers and Beverage Director Janie Brackett have helped bring their vision to life.
I stopped in on their third night to see the space with additional décor and staffed up to serve its patrons. Since I was in last, they have finished off the restrooms and hallway and hung ornate gold curtains along the windows, as well as hung the final paintings by local artist Mark English Originals.
I went in around 5:30 and was impressed with the number of people already finding the spot for happy-hour drinks. I stayed long enough to see it packed, and the owners told me that the opening night boasted 101 reservations.
I sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartenders as they poured the cocktails and made conversation.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling a few items from their menu. The filet medallions, accompanied by a delectable cranberry jalapeño reduction and creamy potato mousseline, were a true delight. The lemon raspberry bliss cake was the perfect sweet ending to my meal. I also had the opportunity to try two of their cocktails, and the bartender, Arlen, crafted them to perfection, just as I had requested-pretty and on the sweeter side. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed with their offerings. They also have a wine and beer list featuring local beer on draft, cans and bottled drinks, and a few refreshing mocktails on their drink menu.
The dinner menu has a good variety of small bites and meal portions, along with a kids’ menu. I’m partial to a good dessert menu and found it hard to choose on this one, but I was pleased with my lemon raspberry bliss cake.
