As I reported two weeks ago, CJs Closet, a new women’s boutique clothing store has opened at 213 East Fifth Avenue. The last two week have been about adding to inventory and getting the new store ready to present formally. It opened softly last Monday morning and one Urban Woman was the first customer to make a purchase, snagging two blouses which she loves.
While the store opened last week, the official opening is today and the inventory has grown tremendously over the last week. I’m told there are all sizes of their up scale look at reasonable prices. The group went to market last week and brought home stacks of additional clothing. I wanted to cycle back with photographs of the clothes, so you’d have more of an idea of what to expect.
They are proud of their wall of jeans, just installed yesterday, and the range of colors and relatively low prices for fashion jeans. In all, you should find several hundred pairs of jeans, with most in or around $69.
A tent will be erected outside today in the large parking lot at the corner of East Fifth Avenue and Lamar Street – right beside Xül Brewing. You’ll find hourly giveaways and special promotions. Knox County Mayor Jacobs will be on hand to cut a ribbon at 4:00 pm, and drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
The store has begun regular hours and is open 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 9 pm Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 pm on Sundays. You can follow them on Facebook, build your own shopper profile on their website, or follow them on Instagram.
