Photos by Leslie from “Lines Were Drawn: The Treaty of Holston and Its Legacy,” a new exhibition at East Tennessee History Center (601 S Gay St.). By the time American and Cherokee negotiators met at the end of June 1791, both nations had spent decades trying to find a way to coexist. Lines Were Drawn explores that time — of war and diplomacy, of broken promises and genuine attempts at fresh starts. Museum admission is FREE for 250 days in commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States. May 2026

Welcome to the 10-Day Planner! If you want your event included, please create a Facebook event, invite editor Leslie Wylie Bateman via the “invite” button on the event page, and it will be included.
